Elizabeth Broun
Hello! I'm Kieara Lonning, a self-taught artist based in the Missouri Ozarks. The Ozarks are beautiful in every season, with an abundance of wildlife and vibrant sunsets I never get tired of trying to recreate.
I work predominantly with watercolor, colored pencil, as well as pen and ink.
My inspiration comes from the outdoors and my interest in the human connection to nature. Although in the past I have focused mainly on wildlife and landscapes, I've begun branching out in the last few years to use art as a means to help process my deconstruction journey and find my true self.
My creative time is split between working at my desk and creating en plein air. And though I do not consider myself a serious writer, some of my more recent pieces have poetry that accompanies them. The majority of these poems pertain to my deconstruction journey and I am still getting comfortable with sharing them with the world.
Thank you for being here! I share my art with the hope that it will help people see our world (and all of its beings) as something to cherish and protect. And maybe it will inspire someone else to pick up a pen/pencil/brush and also share their view of the world!
